Seeing Eye Mini Horse At Albany International Airport
Mona Ramouni caused a stir at Albany International Airport yesterday. On a flight from Detroit to Albany, people were snapping photos of her unusual travel companion – a seeing-eye mini horse.
The mini-horse is 7 year old “Cali”, trained by Dolores Arste of Galway. Mona was visiting the capital area to see Arste. Unlike seeing-eye dogs, horses can service their masters for upwards of 40 years compared to 8 years for pups.
Cali is only 29 inches tall. It’s important to ask permission before touching any seeing-eye animal.
