A Schenectady woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer with his own weapon during a traffic stop. 19 year old, Denita Collier, fled from police officers after an early morning traffic stop on Wednesday. An altercation ensued when officers caught up with the woman.

Collier fought with officers even after being on the business end of a taser. That’s when the woman grabbed one of the officer’s batons and whacked him with it, Times Union reported. The officer had to get staples to close a wound on his head from the attack.

The woman said she fled the scene because of a possible arrest warrant in Schenectady for… surprise, surprise… assault on a police officer last year.

The grocery list of pending charges include robbery in the first degree, assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, false impersonation, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and violations for excessive window tint and no brake lights.
