Just a bit less than a year after dropping his Rather You Than Me album, Rick Ross returns with "Florida Boy," a new track featuring his fellow F-L-A residents T-Pain and Kodak Black.

The new track, which Rozay dropped off Friday morning (Feb. 2), is a triumphant one from three Florida boys who made good. Rick Ross has been perhaps the Sunshine State's best example of sustained commercial and critical success since 2006's Port of Miami. T-Pain arguably ushered in the heavy use of Auto-Tune in hip-hop as we know it today. With his frontline authenticity and knack for melody, Kodak Black is the future. All three are dope.

Rozay kicks things off juxtaposing the fast life and all of its many consequences mid-way through the first verse on the track.

"Get your money—let's reward ourselves/Life a test and every day we got so much to fail/Told you the world was yours, now you in a cell/Center of attention, now you by yourself/Always did the shopping—now you on the shelf," he raps over a sped-up soul sample.

T-Pain, who recently remixed Kodak Black's XXXTentacion-assisted "Roll in Peace," supplies the hook. "Yeah, bitch, I'm a Florida Boy/73's to them AMGs, now we rollin', boys/And my momma raised me, FLA. paid me/I beat all of them cases, I'm on/Bitch, I'm a Florida boy/Old school, big-ass rims, sittin' like Tonka Toys/I got a Florida state of mind now, I be on my grind now/Let my niggas shine now, they on," he croons on the track.

Lending his own unique feel to the track, Kodak drops off some of his customary grimy bars about street life, sounding a lot like the young Florida boys Rozay spits about on the song.

There's no word which project "Florida Boy" will land on, but we do know Rozay's been hard at work on his 10th LP, Port of Miami 2: Born To Kill. Maybe this is on it? We'll have to wait and see.
