Remy Ma's comeback in 2016 has been nothing short of astonishing. The 36-year-old Bronx-born raptress has definitely been riding high off her joint hit single with Fat Joe and French Montana, "All The Way Up." But don't think Remy's resting on her laurels. Today (Aug. 18), Shade 45 released a snippet of DJ Tony Touch's "Toca Tuesdays" where Remy freestyled over the classic beat off Jay Z's "Where I'm From." With Remy Ma spitting over a fellow New Yorker's track, she knew she had to bring the gritty punchlines it deserves. Eyes focused on the mic and husband Papoose by her side, Remy went off dome and tried her hand at the beat in the one-minute clip.

"Lay hands on a bitch/Now who wanna get blessed?/I'm tryna see what's up, yeah/I'm about a check/Its the school of hard knocks/I done past every test."

Remy Ma, Fat Joe and French Montana's "All The Way Up" is no doubt a summer banger. The Edsclusive-produced song dropped back in early March, has peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 is certified platinum as of July 2016 and has allowed the trio to perform at multiple award shows and festivals all year. The track has earned Remy four nominations at the upcoming 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards in the categories of Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collabo, Duo or Group, People’s Champ Award and Track of the Year.

Remy and Joe's joint album Platas o Plomo is due out later this year. In the meantime, check out Remy's newest freestyle above.
