R. Kelly proved that he's still got it by winning not one but two awards at the 2012 TheDrop.fm Music Awards: Best Male R&B Artist and Best R&B Album for his 11th studio album, 'Write Me Back.'

When the album released on June 25, 2012, it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 17 weeks after. And with more than 55 percent of the vote, it's obvious that R. Kelly's latest effort was the clear frontrunner followed by Usher's 'Looking 4 Myself' with just about 23 percent.

He also swept in the Male R&B Artist category and took away over 63 percent of the vote with Usher (again) trailing him with about 17 percent. With these figures, 2012 was clearly R. Kelly's year.
