Prodigy’s Mother Fatima Johnson Has Died: ‘See U On the Other Side’ [PHOTO]

Sad news to report from the Mobb Deep family. Prodigy’s mother, Fatima Johnson, passed away on Dec. 24. There’s no official word on cause of death.

On Monday (Dec. 26), Prodigy went on his Instagram account to pay tribute to his beloved mother who was very supportive of Mobb Deep’s rap career. So much so, that she was P and Havoc’s first manager when they were in their late teens (circa Juvenile Hell days).

One photo is a collage that features P’s mom, who was a former dancer and performed with the ‘60’s R&B group The Crystals. “It's hard for me to share this. I Lost My Mom On Christmas eve. RIP Fatima. South Jamaica Queens finest. See u on the other side,” wrote Prodigy in the caption.

Havoc also went on his IG page to pay tribute to Ms. Johnson. He wrote, "I want to take a moment and salute this beautiful soul. Fatima Johnson, may u Rest In Peace," he wrote. "There wouldn't be a Mobb Deep without you literally!! Our first manager, our first support team and believed in us when no one else did! You'll always always be remembered."
