A popular Capital Region area restaurant is now permanently closed after 32 years.

According to the Times Union, River Street Cafe in Troy is no more. The fine-dining establishment that opened in 1986 has closed and the building and business are reportedly for sale. River Street Cafe kept unusual hours in recent years, and would close for months at a time.

The business also refused to do Social Media (which some could say may have been a factor in the closing of the restaurant) and served an eclectic, international menu in an old industrial building that featured exposed brick and reclaimed wood for it's interior. It sits on the north end along the Hudson River near Brown's Brewing. One could suspect that someone will buy up this prime spot and keep something going for many more years to come. We shall see.

Have you ever been to River Street Cafe? Any memories?
