County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.

All throughout the 2014-15 year, we will be recognizing one “hero” per month based on their inspirational feats and work helping their neighbors and every day passion.

This month's hero is Michael Toleman from Stillwater. He serves his country as both a US Army drill sergeant and a New York State corrections sergeant. In addition to his service to our country, Toleman also volunteers at Stillwater Elementary School. He is a mystery reader for the school, talks to students about veterans, coaches the local football and softball teams, and volunteers in the PTA.

Check out our video for Michael and see how you can nominate a hero next month, when we will be honoring small businesses.
