Noel Alkaramla went missing on New Years of 2015. Her body came up inside of a suitcase in the icy waters in the Hudson. Her autopsy revealed she killed very violently. Neighbors are said to have seen him leaving his residence with a large suitcase. Over the last year Johnny Oquendo has been and out court fighting the state's appeal to submit to giving a DNA sample. In August the request was ordered by a judge and now they have arrested and charged murder and strangulation.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A law enforcement source has confirmed to NEWS10 ABC that Johnny Oquendo has been charged in connection with the death of his 21-year-old stepdaughter.

Alkaramla, a restaurant hostess, was last seen the night of November 22nd 2015when a coworker dropped her off at Oquendo’s South Troy apartment.

Her stepfather was long suspect of the murder and the prosecutors have finally found enough evidence to charge him. Her family was not available for comment.
