Wearing a lime green gown, the blonde-haired rapper thanked her fans for voting for her. "Thank you, my beautiful Barbz," she said. "I don't know where you are but thank you so much for voting and having my back."

"I would just like to thank God for this opportunity to do what I do," she added.

The 'Boys' rapper also thanked her boss, Lil Wayne, her record label, Cash Money, as well as her management team, which included Gee Roberson. Minaj closed her acceptance speech thanking the artists whom she has collaborated with in the past. "[I would like to thank] the amazing artists that I had the pleasure of working with my entire career so far. Thank you so much."
