If you consider yourself a gamer, I’m sure you’re familiar with the video game series “Need For Speed.” The series has survived through many evolutions of gaming platforms. The games have featured multiple story-lines covering everything from street racing circuits to escaping from police pursuit. The game will jump to the big screen on February 7, 2014. Along with “Breaking Bad” actor, Aaron Paul, a hip hop star will be joining the cast.

Paul will be playing the role of Tobey Marshall. In the movie, Marshall races from New York to Los Angeles to track down the man who killed his best friend. Kid Cudi is the most recent cast member to be announced. There are conflicting reports as to what role he’ll play – some are reporting that Cudi will play Marshall’s best friend, while others say he will simply be a member of Marshall’s crew. The film will have a 1970’s feel to it.

This isn’t Cudi’s first rodeo. He made his acting debut on the HBO show, How to Make it in America.

The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh, who is best known for his work on the novel-turned-movie, Act of Valor.
