Ne-Yo’s Inspiration of Infidelity for “Non-Fiction” [INTERVIEW]: HOT After Dark with Linda Love

We have all been patiently awaiting the arrival of Ne-Yo's new album "Non-Fiction". But now we learn of the inspiration behind the very painful songs.

As we know, Ne-Yo & his ex-fiance, Monyetta Shaw of ATL Exes on VH1, ended their relationship over infidelity rumors. being an artist-songwriter-producer who's on the road constantly is very difficult to maintain a "normal" relatinship. And even Ne-Yo fell victim to temptation. The interlude to the new album was to be a full length song but the bad memories bad it impossible to finish writing the lyrics to the song, according to Ne-Yo.

In an interview with Boombox, Ne-Yo talks more of the inspiration behind the album, as well as a new collabo with Schoolboy Q on "Run", todays R&B, & other artists he is a fan of such as Ty Dolla $ign, Tinashe & August Alsina.
