Since the beginning of Hip Hop, there’s always been a special relationship with basketball.

With the NBA playoffs starting this week, artist Jesse Nunez took it upon himself to recreate some of Hip Hop’s most memorable albums using current NBA superstars as the subjects.

The albums range from Dr. Dre's "The Chronic", Kanye West's "Late Registration" to Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" to J. Cole's "Born Sinner". They are extremely well done, accurate, and some, a little too honest for me. Like this one:

Confession: That album cover art hurt my heart. I didn't need another reminder of how much my team sucks... I'm just hoping for the New York Knicks to get that #1 pick in the draft this year.
