Nas Speaks On Charleston Shooting: ‘Racism Is Rotting America’

VIBE caught up with Nas at the premiere of the hip-hop fashion film Fresh Dressed and asked him about his thoughts on the Charleston tragedy.

“We have to live our life in this zoo,” Nas said, after some drivel about mental illness. “How do heal the people that are mentally ill today? How do make them more respectful of each other no matter what race they are? Racism is rotting America. It’s been rotting America since its inception.”
