What a great day in hip-hop. J. Cole releases the remix to his heartfelt ode 'Let Nas Down,' which actually features Nas. On the song, the legendary rhymer spits one of the most endearing verses you will hear this year.

Let's rewind for a quick second. On J. Cole's original version, the North Carolina emcee recalls the day his idol, Nas, turned him down for a guest verse because he didn't like his radio-driven single 'Work Out,' from his debut album, 'Cole World: The Sideline Story.'

On the remix, Nas makes it clear that he wasn't disappointed with Cole but he expected more from him. He then goes on to give the Roc Nation artist some sagely advice about the rap game.

"The first album freedoms and them fourth album pressures / A big difference between them but I get why you said it / Radio records are needed, I just want it to bring the warning / Global warming to that cold world you was breathing / That's some advice I never got / If I don't sell another record, I'll just steady rock," he raps.

He then adds in a beautiful sentiment of support, "So you ain't let Nas down / It's just part of the game, becoming a rap king, my n---- / You ain't let Nas down / How that sound? / Here the crown, pass it to you like nothin' n---- / You ain't let Nas down."

J. Cole has made everyone proud with his second album, 'Born Sinner.'

The love fest continued on Twitter as Cole thanked Nas for his verse on the remix. "Today is special. Full circle moment. @nas it's on you," he tweeted.

The 'Illmatic' emcee responded, #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud #MadeNasProud."
