Michael Jackson's "Love Never Felt So Good" was actually commercially released once before - but not by Michael Jackson.

As you know by now, the song was recorded as a demo way back in 1983 and remixed by Timbaland and other producers for his new album. Well, check out the first commercially released version of "Love Never Felt So Good" - in a 1984 version by another legendary icon - not to mention my mom's favorite singer - Johnny Mathis.

In my opinion, Johnny's version is as cool and funky as the new version, which comes from Michael Jackson's 2nd posthumous album entitled Xscape. Read a track-by-track review of the album here.

Incidentally, a shout to Thomas Nichols who caught a piece of the show when Johnny Mathis performed at the Palace Theater last year. Check out a piece of the performance below. No word on if he performed any Michael Jackson songs.
