Meek Mill shared some thoughts with radio station, Wild 94.9. Meek touched on topics like the state of hip hop, favorite emcees and favorite album.

An often disputed topic is “what is real hip hop”? Meek said he feels rappers “have been shying away from the real rapping in hip hop”. I’m impressed he didn’t name names or go into further detail. He could’ve easily called out fellow artists but he took the high road.

In response to his favorite rappers, he listed the following in no particular order:

• Biggie

• Tupac

• Jay-Z

• Nas

• Lil Wayne

Anyone else surprised he didn’t mention the man who signed him, Rick Ross? He also said his favorite album (also the first album he owned) was Jay-Z’s Vol. 2 – Hard Knock Life.
