Atlanta’s new mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms was sworn into office last week and she is enlisting some of hip hops heavy hitters to her team.  Mayor Bottoms has created a 40 person “transition team” that will be responsible for helping the city’s new leader attack certain issues and areas of concern.
Rapper/actor T.I and Michael Render aka Killer Mike are just 2 of the celebrities residing in Atlanta that took to social media last year to campaign for Mayor Bottoms.  They will also serve on her transition team aiding her with things like confronting corruption in City Hall, improving education and affordable  housing.
"I'm so pleased to have such solid leadership on my side to help navigate this," said Bottoms on Thursday. I really want them to come with fresh ideas, and bring to me their recommendation for best practices for the city of Atlanta," added Bottoms.
