Basketball seems to run in Master P's family, and the latest in the line of Millers to excel in the sport is his son Hercy, who is one of the top players in his class and also doing well in the classroom. The No Limit founder and his hoop-star son recently stopped by TMZ to talk about Hercy's game.

"Hercy as a basketball player, he's like top five in the country eighth grader about to be a eighth grader next year," P said. "But it's not about the basketball with me with him. I'm a fan of his as a father, but I kinda sit back and let him do what he does on the basketball court. But I'm a fan that he's an honor student and graduated with honors after eighth grade. I told him, I said, 'Know what? If you do your part in school, we'll support you in basketball.'"

On June 29, Master P is putting on a celebrity basketball game in conjunction with the 2017 Essence Festival that Hercy will be participating in. Dubbed the Team Hope NOLA Celebrity Basketball Game, the showcase is going down at the Xavier University Convocation Center in New Orleans, the same weekend as the famed fest.

Celebrity ballers will also include Trey Songz, Romeo, Curren$y, Silkk The Shocker, Ray J, Terrence J, Trombone Shorty, Doug E. Fresh, Mystical, Anthony Mackie, Raymond Brothers, Kidd Kidd, Scrappy, Jacoby Jones and Yung Joc. Former NBA players Robert Pack, Caron Butler and Ben Gordon will add to the competition. “This is more than a basketball game, this is for the community and I’m happy we can do it in my hometown,” Master P told XXL of the game.

P recently sent a shout out to all the father's for Fathers Day, posting a video of his sons showing him love on YouTube.
