Fans of the new Netflix series Luke Cage will probably be happy to know that the soundtrack will be released by the close of this week.

According to a press release, the album will contain an original score crafted by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad and both pulled inspiration from A Tribe Called Quest records, as well well songs from Wu-Tang Clan, Ennio Morricone and David Axelrod.

In addition, the soundtrack will have licensed songs like "Bulletproof Love," featuring Method Man, produced by Younge and Mr. Muhammad together.

"'Bulletproof Love' is just an incredible collaboration," said Luke Cage's showrunner Cheo Hodari. "Method Man is a dream to work with and his instinct is perfect."

"He's both a comic book geek but at the same time a hip-hop legend. Method Man's enthusiasm for Luke Cage and understanding of the show really made him the perfect choice. 'Bulletproof Love' is unique as the lyrics involve our characters, but also the song is just electric," he added.

Fans will also be treated to the show's theme song on the soundtrack, which is comprised of a 30-piece orchestra, led by West Coast instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

"Everything that we did, we wanted to make a statement, so we looked to our heroes: Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye and Ennio Morricone," said Ali Shaheed in an interview with Okayplayer.

"Just really make something that spoke to the character and the movement of the artwork. Luke Cage being a product of the blaxploitation period, there's certain elements in blaxploitation music that you want to make sure are there, so we kind of dipped int that paint a little bit."

The soundtrack for Marvel's Luke Cage will be released on Friday, Oct. 7.
