Two years after copping the Wu-Tang Clan‘s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin album for $2 million, it appears controversial pharmaceutical entrepreneur Martin Shkreli is selling his coveted purchase on eBay. So far, 148 people have placed bids for the album, with the highest being $75,300, which is $1,924,700 less than the price he originally paid for the album.

In the description section of his Wu-Tang album bidding page, Shkreli outlines his original reasons for purchasing the CD, why he’s selling it now and some logistics of the eBay auction. If you’ve been following Shkreli, you know of his feud with the Wu-Tang Clan, and so therefore won’t be surprised to see the conflict plays a role in his decision to sell the prized album that’s never been released to the public.

“This is the one and only Wu-Tang album. I decided to purchase this album as a gift to the Wu-Tang Clan for their tremendous musical output,” reads the description. “Instead I received scorn from at least one of their (least-intelligent) members, and the world at large failed to see my purpose of putting a serious value behind music. I will be curious to see if the world values music nearly as much as I have. I have donated to many rock bands and rappers over the years to ensure they can continue to produce their art when few others would.”

Shkreli gained widespread notoriety almost exactly two years ago when he effectively raised the price of an HIV drug by more than $700. A couple of months later, he outbid everyone at an auction for the Wu-Tang Clan’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. Months later, Shkreli began beefing with Ghostface Killah and partook in a variety of antics that made many rap fans grow to hate him.

Since then, Shkreli’s claimed to have possession of Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V album, even playing snippets of it on the internet, which led Weezy’s team to threaten legal action against him.
