Over 50 alleged gang members from upstate NY, and one from Vermont, were arrested in a bust executed by the state Attorney General’s office and the Albany Police Department.

Those arraigned are facing anywhere from 1 to 66 different charges ranging from drug trafficking to conspiracy. The drug charges include the distribution of cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs to our Capital Region friends, family and neighbors. According to the Albany Times Union, and YNN, the gangs involved include members of OGK (Original Gangsta Killas), the Bloods and Hell’s Angels.

Hopefully this move will help prevent tragedies like drug overdose or killings like the incident that happened last April when 17 year old Tyler Rhodes of Albany High was stabbed to death in broad daylight.
