Lil Wayne sparked some controversy in June when a behind-the-scenes clip of his 'God Bless Amerika' video showed him presumedly stomping the American flag. The official visual was released on Monday (July 15) and there appears to be no flag desecration.

The video, directed by Eif Rivera, features Weezy saluting the people of his Hollygrove neighborhood in New Orleans. It begins with the Young Money leader rapping on the microphone with the American flag behind him.

Then once the flag is pulled away, Wayne introduces us to his America. In particular, his old neighborhood, which is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Near the end of the video, Tunechi is in an abandoned house with the words "They Don't Care" spraypainted across the wall. He looks out the window to see the police in riot gear and young black children of Hollygrove.

Those images take a more infinite meaning after the nationwide city protests and discussions following the George Zimmerman acquittal.

At the effort's finale, the flag is hoisted back up to remind us that we are all Americans.
