Lil Wayne felt the backlash of his controversial comments he made on ABC News’ Nightline and he’s now backpedaling on his remarks - sort of.

To recap, Weezy told reporter Lindsey Davis that he doesn’t connect with the Black Lives Matter movement and proclaimed, "my life matter, especially to my bitches." After a few questions, Wayne finally had enough. The rapper removed his mic and walked out of the interview early, saying, “I ain’t no f---in’ politician.”

Of course, Wayne's comments didn't sit well with people who feel that Wayne is simply out of touch with reality when it comes to the issues facing black people in America.

TMZ is reporting that Wayne offered an apology and blamed his tirade on Davis' questions about his daughter.

"When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated," he reportedly told the gossip website. "From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses."

"Apologies to anyone who was offended," he added.

Okay? But does he feel sorry for saying that he didn't connect with the Black Lives Matter movement?

In addition to the alleged apology to TMZ, Wayne also posted a cryptic tweet that we believe was in response to the BLM backlash.

"Is intelligence always misunderstood?" he tweeted.

WTF?

At this point we don't know what to think. We hope that Lil Wayne's handlers would simply issued a proper statement on what the hell is going on in Weezy's mind.
