Lil Bibby is one of Chicago’s promising new rappers but he's also a high school dropout...until now. Earlier this year, the 21-year-old rhymer earned his GED after promising radio host Sway Calloway that he would get it. On Wednesday (Sept. 30), Lil Bibby shared a photo of his high school diploma via his Instagram page.

In the photo (see above), Bibby, whose real name is Brandon Dickinson, is holding his diploma from Liberty High School, which is a distance learning school. In the caption he writes, "F--- it I'm going to College #UCLA I'm Otw! I would like to dedicate this to @realsway @thehappyhourwhb my Moms and Gma. Knowledge is Power. And f--- all of my teachers that ever failed me."

For those who don't know, Sway and Heather B of Sirius XM’s Sway in the Morning radio show urged Bibby to get his GED and he promised to do so.

"I'm so proud of @LilBibby_ for going back to get his diploma," said Sway on his Instagram page. "Education is worth more than currency. Bibby has shown so much potential and setting a great example."

True indeed. Props to Lil Bibby for getting his GED and showing young people that education is the key to prosperity.
