Lakers Guard Nick Young Calls Iggy Azalea’s ‘Digital Distortion’ the Best Album of 2016
As one of the NBA's most lovable personalities, Nick Young has transformed to somewhat of a pop culture icon. Known by the casual fan for his epic sneaker collection and relationship with Iggy Azalea, Swaggy P saw his stock and star power rise on New Year's Eve when he was name dropped by Kanye West on 'Ye's song "Facts." The Los Angeles Lakers guard has been living the high life during his time in Hollywood and the "Facts" reference may inspire him to get on the mic himself.
Young spoke with BIllboard about his future wife's Digital Distortion album and says that his input is going to help the project "blow up:"
Your fiancee, Iggy Azalea, has been hard at work on the new album. What does Digital Distortion sound like so far?
Aw man, it’s gonna be the best album of 2016. I got my Swaggy P feature on it so that’s why it’s gon’ blow up. [Laughs] I see how hard she be in the studio and I heard a couple songs. Couple surprises and a lot of features on there. It’ll be dope.
The Cali native was also asked about what planning a wedding with Azalea has been like and he joked that is has been a "nightmare:"
What's wedding planning been like?
Whew, a nightmare in its own. I think we should go to the courthouse. [Laughs] It’s tough, it takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing but eventually the women always win. I think [wedding days] should just be women’s day.
Iggy recently hopped on Twitter to give a few updates on Digital Distortion and announced that fans can expect content to start dropping in January and that the lead single will be called "Team." She has not given a release date.
