Just as Kodak Black was about to be released from jail yesterday (Aug. 17), police discovered two active warrants in his name and detained him. This morning, he was denied bond in court and told he will remain in Broward Main Jail for the time being.

Kodak listened quietly as his lawyers Gary Kollin and Allan Stephen Zamren spoke on his behalf to Judge Michael Davis. "You're going to be held without bond at this time, and those counties will come and pick you up if that's what they'd like to do," Davis said.

When asked how long Kodak, born Octave Dieuson, would likely remain in the Broward Main Jail, a Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman on Wednesday said, "Until the agencies holding the warrants extradite him," reports the Sun Sentinel.

One of the warrants discovered in the process of Kodak's release is for criminal sexual misconduct in Florence, South Carolina. The other involves two misdemeanor marijuana charges in St. Lucie County, Florida.

Earlier this week, Kodak entered a plea deal that involved pleading no contest to charges including false imprisonment, robbery and possession of a firearm by a delinquent. Those charges carry a maximum sentence of 55 years behind bars.

On those charges, Judge Lisa Porter sentenced Kodak to a year of house arrest and five years of probation, warning him that what happens next is up to him. “I will give you an opportunity, Mr Octave, to prove yourself here, and be a productive member of society,” she said.

Kodak's mother, Marcelene Octave, who earlier this year broke down in tears when she saw her son in an issue of XXLwas in attendance. When Kodak was initially sentenced to zero jail time, she could be heard exclaiming in court, "I love you, baby boy!"
