Kim Kardashian Defends Kanye West Against Taylor Swift
Kim Kardashian is tired of keeping quiet.
In a new show teaser for Keeping Up With The Kardashians that surfaced today (July 14), the Wife of Pablo talks to sister Kourtney Kardashian about how upset she is that Taylor Swift switched up her story about her input in Kanye West's The Life of Pabo song "Famous."
"I never talk shit publicly about anyone, especially in interviews," said Kim. "But I've just so had it. I just felt like I wanted to defend him in it. Because it's like, she legitimately, quote, says, 'As soon as I get on the Grammys red carpet, I'm going to tell all the press I was in on it.'"
In the TLOP cut, 'Ye famously raps, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous. God damn!"
In the clip above, Kim even says Taylor helped Kanye re-write the "Famous" lyric.
Kanye's of course referring to the infamous moment in his career when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to say that Beyonce's "Single Ladies" music video was the rightful winner of the moon man trophy Taylor had in her hands. That moment went down in hip-hop history and only made a bigger star out of each celeb.
Fast forward to 2016 when the "Blank Space" singer's album 1989 won the Grammy for Album of the Year. Taylor gave an acceptance speech, this time uninterrupted, that seemed to be a jab at Kanye's lyric. There have been conflicting reports as to Taylor's knowledge of the lyrics, with Kanye's camp saying Taylor knew about it and Taylor's reps saying she knew nothing about it.
The war of words between Kanye and Taylor will likely continue since Kanye also featured Taylor's naked body in his newest video for the song. Taylor is reportedly pissed that her likeness was used in the shocking visual.
Check out Kim's two cents on the beef in the episode clip above.
