Chart-topping rhyme-spitters Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz have been tapped to perform at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The event is being taped in Atlanta on Sept. 28.

Joining K.Dot onstage will be his Black Hippy brethren ScHoolboy Q and Jay Rock. Meanwhile, Deuce will share the stage with fellow rapper French Montana.

Lamar is leading the pack of nominees with 14 nods including Lyricist of the Year and Album of the Year for his excellent LP, 'good kid, m.A.A.d city.'

2 Chainz has six mentions, including Best Live Performer and MVP of the Year. He, along with French, will most likely perform songs from their latest efforts, 'B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time' and 'Excuse My French,' respectively.

In addition, funnyman Kevin Hart, who goes by the rap alias Chocolate Droppa, will present trophies at the ceremony.

Along with performances, MC Lyte will be honored with the prestigious I Am Hip Hop Award. We also can't forget about "The Cyphers," which are the most talked-about segments at the event.

Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on Oct. 15 at 8PM ET.
