Kanye West Adds A Tribe Called Quest to ‘Yeezus’ NYC Tour Dates

The Yeezus tour has just become an "Award Tour." At least for lucky ticket holders in New York City it has. A Tribe Called Quest will join Kanye West in the New York tour stops at Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden. The legendary group consisting of Q-Tip Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (and sometimes Jarobi) will alternate with Kendrick Lamar as a performer on those concerts.

Of course, this doesn't mean any new material is in the works from the group. However, Q-Tip -- who's signed on to West's G.O.O.D. Music -- is preparing 'The Last Zulu' for a 2014. It's his fourth solo album; his first since 2009's 'Kamaal/The Abstract.'

The Yeezus tour will -- West's first since 2008's Glow in the Dark tour -- will begin this Friday at Seattle.
