Jimmy Kimmel found himself in unfamiliar territory when he unknowingly sparked a rap feud with Hip Hop star Kanye West. The late night host did a spoof of Kanye’s interview with the BBC where he said (to no one’s surprise) a bunch of ridiculous stuff. The spoof featured children re-enacting the awkward interview.

Kanye reached out to Kimmel and voiced his displeasure with the joke. Jimmy hysterically shared the dialogue on his show, boasting that he found himself in the middle of his first “rap feud.”

Both parties apparently agreed to hash out their grievances on television with ‘Ye appearing on the very show that targeted him last night (Oct. 9). In regards to his blow-up with Kimmel, Kanye said, “At a certain point, these egos can flare up. We kind of just took it to high school a little bit.”

He continued his defense by arguing that he went crazy because he’s so protective of his dreams. In the words of his partner in crime, Jay Z, “sensitive thugs need hugs.”
