Kanye West Refiles Trademark for 'Red October' Shoe Name

Kanye West has refiled a trademark for his "Red October" sneakers—the shoe he released with Nike back in 2014, according to TMZ.

Although he's now with adidas, if the trademark is approved, it would allow Kanye to use his "Red October" mark for footwear, shirts, jerseys, bras, thongs, parkas, capes, body stockings, tankinis, baby bibs, swim caps, PJs, gloves and other items.

Apparently, Kanye's 2013 trademark application for the name fell through because he didn't complete the paperwork. But the shoe is massively popular, retailing for thousands, even now, which is likely why he's trying to finish up the legal end of things so the he can start marketing new gear.

In other Kanye fashion news, after making history with adidas via the Yeezy 350 Boost, it looks like another silhouette is on the way. Last week, the Yeezy Mafia Twitter account leaked photos of West’s new sneaker as part of the Yeezy Season 6 collection. Dubbed the “Snaggy Suede Crepe” sneaker, it’s appears to be a monochromatic luxury shoe unlike its previous versions with adidas.

The footwear reportedly comes in a cream colorway with visible stitching across its suede upper. The crepe outsole is similar to the ones featured on the Yeezy 750 boots. There’s also a Yeezy Season 6 tag in the insole with light brown leather accents in the interior.

We'll have to wait and see what Kanye has up his sleeve with the "Red October" name.
