Kanye West Planning Special Live Event for ‘Famous’ Video Premiere

In what appears to be yet another chess move by TIDAL to win folks over, Kanye West will make a limited number of tickets to local TIDAL members available for a special live event featuring the premiere of his video of "Famous." The special limited tickets will be available through the streaming platform's social channels.

Yeezy fans will get a chance to experience the magic tomorrow (June 24) at 7 p.m. PST at The Forum in Los Angeles. The event will also be livestreamed by TIDAL, and will be available there exclusively for one week.

As previously reported, TIDAL’s subscriptions more than doubled in the wake of the release of Kanye West’s exclusive The Life of Pablo. The service jumped from roughly 1 million to 2.5 million in 10 days after TLOP’s release.

'Ye has consistently proved that egotistical or not, when dude makes moves, people follow. Back in February, he hosted an album listening party during a Yeezy Season fashion show held at Madison Square Garden, which was livestreamed by more than 200 million people around the world. And earlier this month, he held a surprise show at Webster Hall and damn near caused a riot in the East Village.

The "event" surrounding his "Famous" video is likely to be just as involved as his previous surprises. The premiere will take place Friday June 24 (tomorrow) at 7 p.m. PST.
