Kanye West can breathe a sigh of relief now that his felony assault charges have been dropped. On Friday (Aug. 16), the Los Angeles County district attorney's office decided not to file charges against the rapper-producer.

The charges stem from a July 19 altercation at LAX when West attacked a paparazzi for talking to him. In a video of the altercation, the 'Throne' rapper is seen putting a very inquisitive cameraman in a headlock.

The photographer was later treated for minor injuries at Marina del Rey Hospital, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Deputy District Attorney Amy-Hannah Broersma said in her report that the felony assault charges would not be pursued because the victim did not sustain significant injuries, and the video showed that West didn't grab for his camera.

The prosecutor also noted the victim's camera was never booked into evidence so they couldn't surmise if it was damaged, therefore, vandalism charges were not filed.

Of course, we all know that West has a love-hate (more so hate) relationship with the paparazzi. Yeezy's request for the shutterbugs to never talk to him...forever, is not only impossible, but unconstitutional. So we can probably expect more confrontations in the future.

However, this could change.

Recently, West was spotted with his boo Kim Kardashian and Baby North walking into a medical facility in Los Angeles.

The paparazzi, who were smart to take pictures from afar, was able to capture photos of West smiling. Yes, smiling. So this could be a sign that he's getting used to the intrusive photographers.

Nah, we think not.
