Kanye West has finally released the first track from Cruel Winter. The anticipated G.O.O.D. Music compilation has been promised as a follow-up to 2012s Cruel Summer for years; and the new single "Champions (Round & Round)" is apparently a first taste of that project.

And it is sweet, fam.

Ye's latest is an anthem and channels the feel of classic hip-hop posse cuts like "Watch For the Hook" and "The Symphony." With an assist from Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Travi$ Scott, Desiigner, Quavo2 Chainz and Yo Gotti; Kanye delivers the G.O.O.D.s on the high energy track that showcases every rhymer doing what they do best--with the newly-released Gucci rhyming that "now that Gucci home/It's over for you Gucci clones," and Desiigner delivering the catchy hook.

Of course, Ye just dropped The Life of Pablo three months ago and dropping a release called Cruel Winter in the heat of summer is head-scratching in that 'only Kanye can do it' sort of way--not to mention he already a hit song called "Champion" back in 2008--but we're excited to see what the project sounds like after hearing this.

Kanye promised fans that he would be dropping two more albums before 2016 ends; a presumed solo project tentatively titled TurboGrafX 16 has been mentioned for months and now this anticipated release of Cruel Winter. If "Champions" is an indicator, we should be in for dopeness as Yeezy season stretches through the winter.

Ye made the announcement this morning via Twitter that the track was debuting on Big Boy's morning show.
