In light of the massive drama this season between 'American Idol' judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, the multi-octave diva is pretty much guaranteed to walk out -- and the producers of the now-struggling Fox juggernaut are eyeing some unbelievably huge names to fill in the panel.

Fox News reports that Carey is definitely not returning next season, mostly because of the drama with Minaj -- but also because she's just over it.

“Mariah doesn’t want to come back, Nicki is really disrespecting her and she’s tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time,” a source told their Pop Tarts column. “One night Nicki tried to be kind of nice, but Mariah didn’t bite, so I guess she figured screw that."

Whether or not Minaj returns -- and it's looking more and more likely that she won't -- Carey still doesn't want to come back. “She’s done with it all. She doesn't need the platform, and all the drama isn’t healthy for her,” the source continued. “She’s also under fire with the producers for not being critical enough of the contestants.”

To prepare for her exit, as well as the likely walking papers for fellow judges Keith Urban, Minaj and Randy Jackson, Fox is looking toward the current pop charts for inspiration.

Radar Online reports that producers want a "dream team" for next season, even if it means paying skyrocketing salaries.

A source admitted, “There’s more drama going on behind the scenes of the show than on the stage, and that’s why there’s a major overhaul in the works. A telling sign was that the highlight of the season was Mariah and Nicki’s explosive feud that was leaked on the web – and that was before the season even aired. Producers have been trying to recreate that buzz ever since and it hasn't worked – the public isn't buying it. The judges don’t have real chemistry, and there’s no real standout contestant."

The source continued, “The executives are calling it their dream team because who wouldn't tune in to see Justin and Selena, Pink and Diddy? Pink has been approached in the past and turned it down as well as Diddy, who wanted too much money. It will cost a fortune to get them, but the show has gotten so stale that Fox is desperate for a revamp – they’re willing to pay to put 'Idol' back on top.”

Gomez and Bieber's relationship drama would be enough to guarantee drama and chemistry -- but goodness knows it would be pricey.
