The 18 year old man accused of killing 17 year old Tyler Rhodes last April was sentenced to the max – 25 years in the slammer. Incriminating evidence included video of the fight on a cell phone camera.

Jah-Lah Vanderhorst’s parents continue to stand by their child’s side, claiming he was being bullied by Rhodes.

Rhodes was killed in broad daylight, being stabbed with a knife in front of several witnesses. Vonderhorst’s accomplice, 19 year old Dhoruba Shuaib, is currently serving 21 years.

Hot 99.1 would like to send our continued thoughts and prayers to the Rhodes family. Justice is served.
