Chart-topping superstars Jill Scott, J. Cole and Ne-Yo are among the headlining acts for the 20th anniversary of Philadelphia's Wawa Welcome America July 4th festival.

The aforementioned artists will be backed by the legendary Roots crew, the house band for the summertime event.

Also on the Independence Day bill is guitarist John Mayer, pop songbird Demi Lovato, R&B singer Marsha Ambrosius and rocker Grace Potter.

The July festival is actually a week-long event (from July 1-7) that will include outdoor movie screenings of Oscar-winning films 'Rocky' and 'Silver Linings Playbook' and a display of a 4.5-ton hoagie. Yum!

The Philly 4th of July Jam, which is billed as the "largest free concert in America," will also broadcast live on both VH1.com and Palladia starting at 8PM ET.

"The City of Philadelphia is proud to join with VH1 and Palladia in welcoming an incredibly talented group of musicians to our city this Fourth of July," says Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter in a press statement (via Billboard).

With beloved hometown heroes Jill Scott and the Roots on the bill, along with J. Cole, Mayer and Ne-Yo performing, you can expect plenty of musical fireworks onstage in Philly on July 4.
