Jay-Z Brings Out Meek Mill, Damian Marley During Performance at 2017 Made in America Festival
The 2017 Budweiser Made in America Festival went down in Philadelphia this past weekend and tons of big acts performed in front of thousand of fans.
One of the biggest highlights of the weekend, however, arrived when Jay-Z took the stage for the final performance on Sunday night (Sept. 3) and brought out surprise guests Meek Mill and Damian Marley.
While Hov went through a slew of songs from all of his albums including The Dynasty: Roc La Familia, The Black Album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, The Blueprint 3 and his latest release, 4:44. With thousands of people in attendance to watch the “Smile” rapper take the stage, Jay’s wife, Beyoncé, was also seen looking on while her hubby crushed his headlining set. He even wished her a happy birthday a day in advanced, being that her special day arrives today (Sept. 4), exclaiming, “Beautiful Bey is in the house tonight. Happy birthday my love.”
While Queen Bey didn’t join the veteran hip-hop star on stage, Hov eventually moved his set over to the Liberty Stage to bring out Meek, who performed his “Dreams & Nightmares” introduction record for fans in front of his home city. He also brought out Young Guru and Just Blaze to join him on stage as his DJs.
Jay-Z also brought out Marley during his set to perform “Bam” off 4:44. The hitmaker also did a powerful tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, who passed away this year, by performing his previous joint record with the band, “Numb/Encore.”
