There's no denying Young Thug has an innovative style, but is he on par with some of the legends? Birdman seems to think so, saying in a recent Instagram video that Thugger is a Michael Jackson and Prince-level talent. The two were sporting all sorts of jewelry, listening to new music when the Cash Money head honcho gets to name-dropping.

Earlier this month, Birdman said that the upcoming Rich Gang album will be Thug and himself. Speaking to Travis Scott on his .WAV Radio show, he said, "Me and Thug working on a part two right now. That’s what we doing right now, so we looking to drop it probably whenever we say go. But we got a good, solid 10-12 [songs] that we really, really like. Part two gon’ be me and him.”

While Thug's output in recent years has been nothing short of dazzling, it was the Rich Gang mixtape Tha Tour Pt. 1 that really showcased his star power, his chemistry with Rich Homie Quan producing a platinum single in the form of "Lifestyle." Throughout that mixtape, Birdman looms large, the benefactor of sorts setting things off with a Rich Gang drop or his signature slick talk.

How the upcoming Rich Gang release impacts Thug's own Hy!£UN35 remains to be seen, but the rapper has always fit multiple releases into a single year, 2017 likely to be no different. Catch Birdman's comments up top.
