The Salvation Army, which is dealing with flooding at its Baton Rouge facility, is helping thousands of residents who were forced to evacuate their homes.
The organization is assisting with disaster relief resources such as  mobile feeding units, clean up and hygiene kits and sending support personnel to the affected areas.
Red Cross: If you want to volunteer, call the Red Cross at 855-489-2528 or sign up at http://volunteerlouisiana.gov.
The United Way needs you to help flood relief efforts by volunteering or making a donation through the United Way of Southeast Louisiana. Citizens in need of services should dial 211, which is a hotline operating 24/7.
