I'm in rare form today.  You could blame it on being one step closer to the weekend or all the Red Bull I've been consuming but, really - it's all the throwbacks I've been bumpin' today.  Makes sense to me!  Throwbacks go hand in hand with Thursdays!  Don't fact check me on that, just go with it.

Some of my personal favorite throwbacks include Lost Boyz - Renee, Nas - Shoot Em' Up, Mad Lion - Take It Easy, Lord Tariq - Deja Vu, Tha Dogg Pound - New York, New York, just to name a few.

Today, however, has been a Run DMC day.  Unfortunately I'm not wearing Kangol, Addidas or fat rope chains but none the less I'm enjoying heat like King Of Rock, It's Tricky and You Be Illin'.  Those songs are dope, but the most respectful track in my opinion has to be "Walk This Way".  The fellas were working on the album, Raising Hell, and decided they wanted to put out something that would appeal to both hip hop and rock fans.  Genius.  It was one of the biggest songs of the 80's.

Love this ish!  Instant classic.  I don't know if they perform it live but if you're a multi-genre fan Aerosmith will be at the Times Union Center in Albany on June 29th.  If you're interested you can buy tickets here.
