Drake's More Life project has been the source of a lot of questions since Drizzy referred to it as a playlist. The resistance to call the project an album or mixtape has led to speculation about what it truly is.

In an interview with Billboard, producer and Drake collaborator Nineteen85 shed some light on the "One Dance" rapper's decision to call More Life a playlist. Nineteen85 said the playlist distinction comes from Drake's intent to have multiple artists contributing to the project.

More Life is interesting because this is [Drake] right on the peak of his biggest project yet [with Views], doing his biggest tour and still having so many good ideas that he just wants to put out without making it a big ordeal,” he said. “That's why he's trying to call it a playlist because he has a bunch of people in a space, hanging out.... He's so aware of what everybody else is doing musically that he likes to introduce new music and new artists to the rest of the world.”

There is no release date for More Life at this time, but Drake could be planning another surprise release like 2015's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Drizzy's Boy Meets World tour begins later this month, so a release ahead of the European shows would make sense. Check out all of the tour dates below.
