At the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, backstage brawls garnered more press than the show itself. According to a pair of ATL spitters, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame, things would’ve been even more tense if they were in the building.

In the interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Ice Cream Face and Waka don’t isolate anyone by naming targets. But when you have a sold-out arena full of the biggest ego’s in the biz, there’s bound to be a piss contest or two. In the case of the 2012 awards, there were 2 separate altercations between 50 Cent and Gunplay along with an incident with Jeezy and Ricky Rozay.

Waka vowed to never perform on BET again after a stage dive incident at last year’s show. He was the one who talked Gucci into sittin’ on the sidelines.

“I’m really still mad at Waka for saying we aint gonna go this day. It would have been a whole different story. SA--- I’d probably be in jail right now. It was a lot of punching bags in that m-----f-----“

Gucci ended the interview by hyping some new music. As much as I enjoy both artists in a solo capacity, let’s hope they don’t team up for another “Ferrari Boyz” album any time soon. #unlistenable
