As expected, Future’s new album, HNDRXX, premiered at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, which makes him the first artist to achieved back-to-back albums in the nearly 61-year history of the music chart.

The rapper’s HNDRXX replaces his previous self-titled album, which debuted at No. 1 a week prior. The collection moved 121,000 equivalent copies in the past seven days, with 48,000 of those being traditional album sales. The self-titled album steps down from No. 1 to No. 2 with 64,000 additional units moved.

The last artist to have achieved the same feat of having a No. 1 and a No. 2 album on the Billboard 200 tally was Prince. Sadly, his feat happened posthumously.

The late music icon’s The Very Best of Prince and Purple Rain was at No. 1 and No. 2 a week after his untimely death in April 2016. Before Prince, rapper Nelly was the last artist to have back-to-back albums when Suit and Sweat, hitting No. 1 and 2, respectively, on the Billboard 200 tally.

Congratulations to Future on his chart achievement and his continuous reign in the rap game.
