After winning a custody battle last month, Future has dropped his lawsuit against Ciara, the mother of his son, citing no further reason to proceed. As TMZ is reporting, the countersuit that Future filed back in April, demanding Ciara stop dragging his name and pay the legal fees incurred during their custody battle, has been dropped since his end goal, securing time with his son, has been achieved.

In a custody hearing held in mid-May, a judge ruled in Future's favor, awarding joint custody to the feuding parents despite Ciara's best efforts to portray Future as an absent father. Sources close to the rapper tell TMZ he's concerned that if he continues with his lawsuit against Ciara, it may impact his present custody situation, which is above all else the most important thing.

The back-and-forth between the former item is well-documented, and while Ciara just sued for unpaid child support earlier this month, all indications are that Future is putting the well-being of his son over legal fees or matters.

Future as well has a separate legal drama to attend to, as Rocko sued him earlier this month for $10 million for the breach of a 2011 contract. The lawsuit claims Future’s contract stipulated his first six albums would be released through A1 Recordings. Rocko says that Future’s major label home, Epic Records, signed on to distribute these albums. But the suit alleges that Future cut a side deal with Epic Records which earned the “March Madness” rapper some multi-million dollar advances. Rocko says that he is rightfully owed 25% of those advances.
