French Montana is enlisting the wavy pioneer, Max B, to host his next mixtape, Wave Gods. Ahead of its release, Montana already dropped the intro track.

The entire project is slated to be released this Friday (Feb. 19) on DJ Khaled’s “We The Best” Beats 1 radio show. It's been awhile since the Coke Boys leader shared new music though. He's been relatively quiet since last October, when he released his collaborative mixtape with Fetty WapCoke Zoo.

Max B, on the other hand, has been pretty busy despite his incarceration. Along with his appearance on French's mixtape, Max provided drops for Kanye West's The Life of Pablo and recently phoned in for an interview with The Breakfast Club.

Fans will likely have Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West to thank for the new project since the two got into a Twitter fight over 'Ye using the name Waves for his album (later retitled The Life of Pablo.) Khalifa criticized West for exploiting the wave culture. But Max B didn't seem to mind.

“Everybody know I’m an innovator,” said the rapper in the Breakfast Club interview. “I come up with these words and these slogans and these catchphrases. It’s all good when the people follow suit. I like Kanye.”

Check out the intro track below and stay tuned to Beats 1 radio at 8 p.m. EST on Friday to hear the full mixtape.
