Free Negro League Baseball Screening Tonight At Proctors

Black History is rich, full, and always worthy learning about beyond February.With that said, if you want to learn more about the history of professional negro league baseball, come to Proctors (432 State Street, Schenectady) for a free documentary screening on Tuesday, Apr 5th.

The Mohawk Giants: Schenectady & The Negro Leagues.

The Mohawk Giants were an independent professional negro league baseball team supported by mostly white fans between 1913 and 1940, whose players were a mix of young bucks on the way up and older veterans who were on their way down from the Negro Major leagues.
