Kicking off the Labor Day weekend, Drake decided to flip the Weeknd’s fantastic piano-driven ballad “Tell a Friend” and add his own tender spin to it.

The song, which was produced by Kanye West, premiered on Saturday (Sept. 5) during the OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1. Over the looped piano and drum kick, Drizzy rap-sings ruminations about a specific woman in his life.

With lyrics like, "Yeah, the ball is in your court / No defense, nobody's keeping score / No offense but I've played this before / Maybe you can and you just don’t care anymore," seems to suggest that Drake is talking about his rumored girlfriend, tennis icon Serena Williams.

Upon further listening, it looks as if the Toronto rhymer is ready to take his relationship to the next level. "Your body insane in person / Wanna do special things for you, you deserve it / But you too famous to buy you purses / That barely scratches the surface / This time it's different, you give me purpose," he raps.

Williams may be a little busy right now to deal with Drake's emotions right now. The 33-year-old tennis star is heading into her 4th round match at the U.S. Open and she needs to stay focused if she wants to win her fourth consecutive U.S. Open title.

Tennis talk aside, Drake has delivered another gem that we hope the Weeknd will turn into his official remix for "Tell a Friend." The dynamic duo has created hits together before, most notably "Crew Love" from Drake's Take Care album.
