After earning SPIN magazine's "Best Rap Album of 2011" title with their 'Stepbrothers' project, Don Trip and Starlito are back it with their latest release, 'Stepbrothers 2,' which dropped today (Oct. 15). To help promote the new album, the southern duo has announced a 15-date tour kicking off tomorrow (Oct. 16) in Jacksonville, FL.

Ready to take in the crowd reaction to their 'Step Brothers' follow up, Don Trip says, "For me, I felt like it was a brand new project, and not a part 2 so to speak." He continued, "We needed it to be bigger; treat it like an album and not a mixtape. It took more preparation.”

The two stuck with their tradition of embedding messages in their lyrics, and in the process found themselves paying homage to Third Coast greats Pimp C and Outkast with the track, 'Pimp C 3000,' which "takes threatening verses [and places them] over a ricocheting beat." And while today marks the release of the new mixtape, it also sits as the first day fans can watch the visuals to 'Leash on Life,' the track that brings social commentary on current topics like school shootings, bullying, the hood, poverty and more to life.
